Stephen Mooney prosecutes UKIP candidate for gross negligence manslaughter and breach of Health and Safety Regulations

The defendant, Keith Crawford, was convicted of gross negligence manslaughter and breaches of Health and Safety Regulations relating to excavations, following an eight-day trial. He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years' imprisonment. The jury found that he failed to provide proper safety equipment to Mr Peter Clements who was constructing a soakaway for the defendant’s swimming pool. As a result, the trench that he was digging collapsed burying him alive. Further details here.
