Overview
Reflecting his dual qualification as a barrister and as a surveyor, David’s experience in property matters is both broad and practical.
His legal practice concentrates on property litigation including disputes over ownership and property rights; landlord & tenant work in residential, commercial, and agricultural contexts, as well as matters arising from development agreements and loan security.
In addition to his tenancy at Albion, he is principal at W H Cotterell & Son, Chartered Surveyors, specialising in the valuation of residential property assets, including complex leaseholds. He was for over 30 years a director of Savills (UK) Ltd where he worked mainly in affordable housing valuation and consultancy, giving particular insight into charitable and public sector housing matters.
David is an accredited mediator.
