Albion Chambers Private Child law team ranked highly in the Legal 500. The team have built up a strong reputation over 40 years and are the ‘go to’ set for many top solicitors firms in the South West.

The team, which is led by Sarah Pope, is comprised of 22 members including King’s Counsel, ranging from 2 to 35 years call. This strength in depth allows us to cater for the needs of all clients.

We take the time to listen and assess our client’s needs before providing tailored and targeted advice, and our outstanding advocacy skills and persuasive manner help to put our clients at ease whilst in the stressful environment of a Court room.

With the wealth of experience held within the team, we are not only able to assist in matters concerning contact and residence, but also more complex issues including schooling and educational disputes, adoption, international and domestic relocation, international child abduction and a range of matters dealt with under the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court. We are also properly equipped when sensitive issues arise involving allegations of physical, psychological and sexual abuse.

Our clerks are Michael Harding, Julie Hathway and Grace Northeast who, combined, offer many years’ experience of family clerking. Michael, Julie, Grace and Joanne Banfield, our Support Clerk, are always happy to discuss and recommend the most suitable member of the team for each individual case.

Continuing education, internal and external, is important to us. We run programmes of seminars, together with in-house training sessions and are accredited CPD providers. Please contact our Chambers’ Director, Nick Jeanes for further information.
