Albion Chambers offers a specialist team dealing with this exciting and rapidly changing area of law.
Our highly skilled and effective Employment team offer significant experience in a full range of advisory and advocacy services, with particular experience in disciplinary tribunals and are often instructed on behalf of trade unions and local authorities as well as private clients.
Representing employers and employees alike, we have a broad client base of local authorities, private clients, trades union and insurers.
Albion Chambers has a reputation for its members’ accessibility, empathy and approachability and the high standards of its service: the Employment and Professional Disciplinary Team is no exception.
Chambers offers representation in a broad range of disciplinary tribunals. Team members have experience of tribunals which have dealt with disciplinary issues in respect of police officers, members of the fire services, nurses, CAFCASS Officers, midwives, and other professionals (e.g. before The Bar Standards Board).
Some have also represented private and public sector employees at internal, non-regulated disciplinary and appeal hearings which can, of course, be accepted under our direct Public Access Scheme.
Our employment and professional disciplinary clerks are Grace Northeast and Nick Jeanes who are always happy to discuss and recommend the most suitable member of the team for each individual case.
Continuity of representation is important for all of us and we make every effort to avoid changes of counsel. When changes are necessary the clerks will always endeavour to allocate alternative counsel to provide a consistent level of representation.
Continuing education, internal and external, is important to us. We run programmes of seminars, together with in-house training sessions and are accredited CPD providers. Please contact our Chambers’ Director, Nick Jeanes for further information.
