After a seven-week trial in Bristol Crown Court, a jury today cleared Alistair Gibson of conspiracy to commit fraud. Mr Gibson is the former Finance Director of St Margaret’s Hospice in Taunton and had been accused, along with the Hospice’s former CEO, of securing grant payments to the value of £1.2million by submitting falsified invoices.
Edd Hetherington acted as Leading Junior in the defence of Mr Gibson, securing a unanimous not guilty verdict.
