Chambers congratulates Kate Brunner QC who has been elected by members of the Western Circuit as its Leader. Her three-year term began on 1 October. Kate’s role will include representing the Circuit in negotiations with the Ministry of Justice, and on the Bar Council, chairing the committee of the Western Circuit, and promoting the interests of members of Circuit. She will liaise with the local judiciary, Crown Prosecution Service and other bodies, and will lead Circuit’s provision of training and social events to barristers.

Kate’s usual practice will continue during her term as Leader.

On Kate’s appointment, Adam Vaitilingam QC, Head of Chambers said:

On commencing her term, Kate said:
