Sarah Pope has secured the release of the lorry driver who helped Rebecca Minnock go into hiding with her son, Ethan, having successfully applied to purge his contempt.
Andrew Butt, the partner of Rebecca Minnock’s mother, was sentenced to 28 days imprisonment by HHJ Wildblood QC last week as a result of breaching a Collection Order requiring him to provide any information he had regarding Ms Minnock’s and Ethan’s whereabouts to the Tipstaff and for misleading the Court in relation to his involvement in the case. Mr Butt had served 8 days of his sentence at the time of his release.
