In order to reflect both the increasing size and success of the Albion Chambers family team and, in particular, the expertise of its members in different areas of family practice, the team has been reorganised into two specialist teams.

Deborah Dinan-Hayward, who has led the family team with distinction for the last five-and-a-half years and has overseen its growth and diversification during that period, will continue to lead a team of specialist family finance practitioners offering wide-ranging expertise in all financial and cohabitation dispute matters arising from relationship breakdown.

The newly-formed specialist child law team will be led by Stuart Fuller. Team members cover all areas of child law, public and private, legally-aided and privately funded. They have a wealth of specialist experience in care proceedings and related matters (representing children, parents, local authorities and other parties); many members of the team have experience in the most serious cases, including infant deaths and alleged head injuries and serious sexual abuse and also in care cases with an international element. Private law expertise covers not only child arrangements order but also adoption, international and domestic relocation, international child abduction and a range of matters dealt with under the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court.

Both teams have a number of members who are able to accept direct access instructions.

A number of members of chambers practice in both teams, and some are also members of other teams including in particular the growing Court of Protection team.

Michael Harding and Julie Hathway clerk both the finance team and the child law team.
