    Laura practises entirely in all aspects of family law. Laura joined Albion in 2024 after 19 years at the Bar in South Wales. Laura regularly undertakes cases in the Court of Appeal and often appears in the High Court and in cases where other parties are represented by Kings Counsel.

    Laura is particularly well known for representing parents and Guardian’s in public law proceedings and is sought out for her ability to put clients at ease from the outset. Known for her pragmatic approach and thorough case preparation, Laura often deals in extremely distressing court cases, navigating with skill to secure the best outcome for her client.

    Laura often appears in cases where multiple experts are instructed with opposing evidence where the following issues are litigated:

    • Child death
    • Multiple fractures and catastrophic injuries to children
    • FGM and honour-based violence & radicalisation
    • Sexual abuse including inter-familial sexual abuse.
    • Chronic and gross neglect of children (which has resulted in child death)
    • Human trafficking, county lines
    • Fabricated and induced illnesses
    • Concurrent criminal proceedings

    Laura represents vulnerable parties requiring the assistance of the Official Solicitor or intermediaries and advocates if appropriate. Regularly appearing in DOLs and secure accommodation applications. Laura often deals with post care applications involving permission hearings and contested adoptions.
