A 31 year old Gloucester man has been cleared by a jury today of attempting to murder a man who he suspected was having an affair with his wife.
Kannan Siva, defending told the jury: “Mr Lee has admitted attacking Mr Talbot, but he didn’t intend to kill him. He wasn’t trying to kill him. He had already prepared himself for prison. What he intended to do is what he has already admitted to seriously wounding Mr Talbot. He has pleaded guilty to this. At the time of the attack Mr Lee was depressed and was suicidal because he believed his wife was cheating on him.”
